WCBL – Week 3

W/C 06/10

Spent a little bit of time cutting the promo vid (above).  Once the final date and flyer have been confirmed, i’ll add that in also.

Monday – 20 minutes skipping.  The left knee is feeling a bit… i don’t know. Tight? Almost like there’s a bit of pressure around it.  Also the left wrist feels like it has a bit of RSI.

Tuesday – Knights Gym. Another tuesday evening with Scott punishing us all.  These sessions really are one full hour of work.  When you need to do a pre-warmup warmup, you know things are going to be tough.  Already, talk is being bandied around about who wants to fight who and so on.  It’s still early days!  The combo’s are just starting to come together for me with slightly less ‘thought process’.

Wednesday – rest day.  Also, WCBL announced on Facebook that the final dates will be revealed this week.  So its either 5th December, or 13th December.

Thursday – rest day.  Still feeling burnt out from Tuesday.

My thought for today…  The outcome of the fight really doesn’t matter to me.  After the year i’ve had, by simply stepping into the ring, I’ve already won.  I kinda feel sorry for the person facing me.  If he doesnt win, then he’s failed to beat someone that couldn’t even walk 6 months ago.

Friday – 25 minutes in the car park, skipping, shadow boxing.

Saturday – Knights Gym.  We had a ‘bleep test’.  A bleep goes off, and you run to the cones 20 yards away by the next bleep, then back to the first cone for the next bleep and so on.  I was about the 8th person to drop out, with a score of 7.10.  Hopefully next time we revisit the bleep test, my score will move up a bit.  But i wasn’t dissapointed with that.  I was determined not to be the first out.  The session continued with Mide (Scott’s sidekick and a well established WCBL boxer) giving us all a good thrashing in the gym.

Sunday – Church.  Nah, not really, but certainly a rest day.
